Renewable Energy Site Surveys

We are able to offer three kinds of renewable energy site survey to our clients. These are designed to offer a quality response tailored to your project.

1. Single Technology Survey

This renewable energy survey is designed to ensure we have an accurate picture of the location and needs and can sometimes be offered free of charge subject to availability. Please do not be disappointed if we ask for a fee to cover our expenses, particularly if you are in a remote location or if the project has several scenarios involving planning such as with wind turbines.

2. Multi-Technology Survey

As our expertise allows us to design systems incorporating multiple renewable energy solutions we can offer a more comprehensive survey on site to handle this. We do have to insist on a charge as these projects require more of our time.

3. Desktop Survey

To ensure we offer all of our clients the opportunity to assess their needs prior to any further commitments we are able to conduct desktop surveys for most projects and if you can supply plans we can even spend time offering advice over the phone free of charge where possible. Do not be offended if we recommend you do not require a survey as this may be because your site is not suitable for a renewable energy solution.

Why Do We Sometimes Need To Charge For Renewable Energy Site Surveys?

Freesource are by definition not a consultancy, we are a business designed to earn income from supply, installation and maintenance of renewable energy systems.

What this means is that we do not have a fixed fee structure for our time, as we aim to assist all clients along the process and make money from working on the project when it comes to fruitition.

Not all projects come to fruitition and many are long term prospects, aprticularly those involved with planning application. Many are also in remote locations and can be complex involving a lot of our time.

From time to time we kindly request that customers cover our time and expenses witha  modest fee, otherwise frankly, we could spend every day surveying and not have a profitable business.

The good news is that almost all of our fees are deductable from final installation costs.
