"Renewable Energy At Home" Training Courses

Freesource Energy was originally set up with the aim to help people understand and apply renewable technology to all kinds of building.

In partnership with Dorset Centre For Rural Skills, based down near Blandford Forum in Dorset, Freesource is offering the chance to learn more in depth about the range of technologies available for the home with two training courses in the summer.

The course has been run before and received great reviews from the participants in particular because of the refreshing honesty about how the technology can be used.

The Topics Covered Are:

• Understanding the context of renewables
• Saving Energy First
• Solar Thermal
• Photovoltaic Solar
• Wind Turbines
• Heat Pumps
• Biomass Technology

Within each technology topic there is a chance to understand how it works, it's benefits and limitations. There are also practical exercises to help participants understand how to select the right technology for different situations.
