What Sort of Renewable Energy Projects Can We Handle?

We handle all kinds of commercial, domestic, local authority renewable energy projects on a small or large scale. Our technicians are vastly experienced and capable of handling all kinds of work from simple Solar Thermal (aka Solar Heating) for the home through to large scale Solar PV or Wind Turbine applications.

We prefer to get involved as early in the project as possible as this often gets best results with system design, however we are happy to be called in for pure installation work as well.

What Is Involved in A Renewable Energy Site Survey?

Our Site Surveys for renewable energy are designed to give you the best designed and cost effective quote. There are 3 kinds of survey involved, check this Renewable Energy Site Survey link for details

They can take 30mins to 1hour depending on your location and often require access to the roof, heating system, electrical systems and your outside space.

You are under no obligation to buy from us, it is a technical visit in preparation for quotation.

Solar and Wind Power Grants

Freesource is accredited with the DTI's Low Carbon Buildings Scheme as well as other sources of funding, which means you can access funds to help you pay for Solar Thermal Heating, Wind Turbines, Solar Power and Heat Pump installations.

Our Product Range

Our aim is to offer a wide choice of products to fit every possible job. We choose to use several brands for each technology to ensure we find the right solution for your site.

Solar Thermal Heating products include flat plate and evacuated tubes. We do not prefer one or the other as both are equally good for solar heating

Solar Power (PV) can be Solar Panels or Solar Tiles. Solar Panels are most common, Solar Tiles are newer and cost a bit more at the moment

Wind turbines Our range has expanded to give you a wide choice for on or off-grid wind turbines ranging from from 400w up to 250kw

Ground Source Heat Pumps Heat pumps come in all sizes provided your property is suitable. You need excellent insulation, double glazing and underfloor heating to get the best performance from heat pumps.

Wood stoves and boilers Wood stoves and boilers can come in all shapes and sizes. Wood heating is the most common form of renewable energy for heating to suit all applications
