First RHI applicants confirmed

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) has been launched for one month as an available incentive for commercial and community renewable technology installations and the first two claimants have been approved by OfGem E-serve.
Umbrella supplier, Booth Brothers in Sheffield is set to install a 24kW water source heat pump to power its underfloor heating and a set of holiday cottages ready to install a 4.3kW ground source heat pump, have both been successful in their applications for the RHI scheme.
These will be the first of many commercial sites to be able to benefit from the RHI.
Greg Barker, Climate Change Minister said:
“It’s fantastic news that the Renewable Heat Incentive has received its first two successful applicants, and this is just the start!”
