DECC Court of Appeal update
13/1/2012
The Court of Appeal met at 9.30am today to decide whether to grant the DECC a hearing for its appeal against the High Court’s December ruling on the feed-in-tariff.
Confirmation of the judge’s decision is expected at around 11.30am, although it is rumoured that the judge has indicated the DECC will be granted the appeal.
If appeal is granted, it will be heard this afternoon, although judgement is not going to be immediate.
Granting the appeal could mean the Governemnt will be able to proceed with its proposed cuts to the feed-in-tariff. This means that 21p will be secured for solar PV installations up to 4kW until April 2012.
