Freesource Project Wins Award

One of our installations wins a prestigious RIBA award Koru Architects were awarded the 2011 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Downland Prize for Sustainability for their zero-carbon house and studio in Hove. There were 70 entries to for the Downland Prize, 19 of which were shortlisted with 5 category winners. Freesource Energy were chosen by Koru Architects to install a combined integrated solar PV and thermal solution into the zero carbon property. Mark Pellant at Koru Architects comments “The home is a realisation of a dream, and a perfect showcase for the company’s work. There is no doubt of the impact Freesource had on the project, concluding: When we seek green energy solutions, products, advice, and support, Freesource Energy stood head and shoulders above other companies.” We are very proud to have taken part in this project and would like to congratulate Mark and Abi of Koru Architects on their success in winning this award.
