RHPP expires soon

There is less than three months left to take advantage of the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP).
The RHPP is a scheme designed by the Government to help people afford renewable technologies such as solar thermal, heat pumps and biomass boiler. Renewable technologies can initially be expensive so the RHPP is there give a helping hand to people who cannot afford the entire amount.
The RHPP grant expires on 31st March 2012, giving you only three months left to apply for and redeem the RHPP voucher. A massive 3,945 people across the UK have already applied for the RHPP and will be benefitting from the technologies it has helped provide.
Later this year the government will be releasing details of a domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) to take the RHPP’s. The RHI is currently available for commercial or large-scale installations and works in a similar way to the feed-in-tariff, providing quarterly payments depending on how much energy you generate and what system you have installed.
This incentive is not currently available for domestic installations but the Government should be releasing details this year. Anybody who has received the RHPP is still eligible to apply for the RHI.
