LATEST NEWS
On 6th April the Government announced new "permitted development rights" to allow householders in most areas in the UK to proceed with solar panel installations without planning permission.
The only exceptions to this are Listed buildings, areas of outstanding natural beauty and conservation areas.
If you live in a house or building in one of the special areas you should contact the council about planning rules, if you do not, you can proceed without contacting them.
A copy of the rules is found on this link
